In late 2008, Bandwidth.com became the primary sponsor of FreePBX.org and I was tasked with redesigning the website. Enter Tango, the Red Eyed Tree Frog and his many hats.
FreePBX has always associated itself with the Red Eyed Tree Frog. We took this one step further in our redesign, building the entire brand around the imagery of Tango, a mascot frog that models concepts throughout the website. Even the logo is based on the frog. But what I find to be most original about the project is Tango’s hats. I put a new one on him every time there’s a “hatable” occasion, (4th of July, College National Championship Tournament, Chinese New Year, Mother’s Day….well, you get the idea).
