Michael Dinan, one of TMCnet’s many editors, recently interviewed our very own Sean Rivers on a variety of topics, ranging from SIP Connect to IP vs TDM PBX technology to ITEXPO.
While the article doesn’t delve into the specifics of SIP Connect, it’s a great initiative that Bandwidth.com has been a part of for over a year. It’s goal is to set a more rigorous specification for SIP Trunking, so that more SIP Trunking devices can talk to each other natively - the reality now is that testing is necessary between most SIP providers/hardware vendors. In some extreme cases, two interpretations of SIP by different companies might not even be compatible.
We’re sending Sean to ITEXPO again this year, as part of our partnership with InGate to promote SIP Trunking to the industry. Check out the schedule of events for our team here; Sean will present “Introduction to SIP Trunking
** Live Demo: Setting Up a Secure SIP Trunk” with the InGate team on Tuesday, September 1 at 9:00 AM (details here). We hope to see you there!
It’s a great interview; you should read the full article on TMCnet here.
