“Find Me, Follow Me” is a Phonebooth feature that allows one number to route to multiple phones, based on rules that you set-up. We thought about calling it “Stalk Me”, but legal didn’t like that name.  This is extremely useful for mobile workforces, or for people who may want to appear to be “working” while out of the office (on your boat, at the golf course, driving in your Maserati…wherever).

Configuring Find Me, Follow Me with Phonebooth is as easy as it gets.

Step 1

Log-in to Phonebooth as a user (not the admin) and click Find Me, Follow Me - you’ll see this screen:

Phonebooth User login

Step 2

Choose how long you would like your office phone to ring before it rolls over to your alternate phone.  16 seconds is the default.

Step 3

Pick where you would like your calls to go after your office phone rings.  Most people would pick your cell or home phone… but if you’re like me, you might ring Jenny.

Step 4

And, if you don’t pick-up your office phone or your cell phone, you can have the voicemail transcribed and emailed to you.

Final Step

All you need to do now is click the Save call flow button and you have a nifty, functional Find Me, Follow Me with Phonebooth.

That’s it!

Note: You don’t have to use Find Me Follow Me… if you prefer to avoid calls altogether, we promise we won’t judge you for that. Which reminds us of a song…

And I ran.
I ran so far away.
I just ran.
I ran all night and day.
I couldn’t get away.

  • A series of five phones can be rung in series.

The actual Find Me, Follow Me tab allows you to forward to two phones, but if you set up a group of five users... you can accomplish what you're trying to do.

You would have five users setup and named appropriately with their phone number being the number you want to ring.

You can then organize them in a group and choose to have the group ring sequentially. Hopefully this helps. :)

Can a series of five phones be rung in series? For example,

If A does not answer after x seconds, send call to B

If B does not answer after x seconds, send call to C

If C does not answer after x seconds, send call to D

If E does not answer after x seconds, send call to E
