The recent flooding from Hurricane Helene has struck close to home. Bandwidth has called North Carolina “home” since 2001. Our Raleigh-based headquarters is a tribute to our beloved state, where nearly 2/3 of our incredible bandmates work their magic. Our new event space that we lovingly call ‘The Barn’ proudly features reclaimed lumber from an 1816 sawmill in Rocky Mount. The surrounding landscape highlights native plantings, and our meeting rooms are named after iconic state landmarks, a nod to the beauty and heritage of North Carolina.
Having suffered floods of enormous proportions during the September 25-27 storm, many of our neighbors are faced with months of cleanup work, while also needing immediate assistance with basics like water and food. That’s why we’re giving back—to the land and people who have inspired us, in a time of great need.
Bandwidth has pledged to give $100,000 across these four charitable organizations working to help those affected by the floods:
These organizations were chosen because they currently have robust operations on the ground in the region and they can provide immediate resources to those who need them most right now.
Bandmates are taking initiative to help
Bandwidth is also doing a 2:1 match for contributions from employees who wish to give financially. Donations of food, diapers, and other essentials were collected at our office in early October, and Bandmates showed their willingness to get muddy with a Go! Do! Day on October 9th. 37 Bandmates met up at HQ long before sunrise for the trip to Ashe County, where they spent the day digging out mud and removing debris for local residents.
