DTMF Tones, or Touch Tones, refer to an in-band telecommunication signal sent over a voice frequency. This is a new-age form of signaling, rather than pulse dialing.

How Bandwidth is involved with DTMF

Bandwidth’s VoIP offerings paired with our awesome suite of APIs enable businesses to build out their communication tools to be more accessible and interactive. One way to use DTMF tones is within an IVR. IVR systems (IVRS) accept a combination of voice and touch-tone input to provide appropriate responses in different forms. At Bandwidth, we’ve mastered the power to communicate, so you can focus on what matters most to you.
