Endpoint identifier

What is an Endpoint Identifier?

The Endpoint Identifier (or Endpoint ID) is a unique string of 4-30 characters that identifies a specific end user. For example, phone numbers serve as the endpoint identifier in Standard VoIP Emergency Services.

In Nomadic VoIP Emergency Services (Dynamic Location Routing, DLR for Teams, EC API), the endpoint identifier can be a unique alpha-numeric string of the customer’s choosing (sometimes referred to as AEUI or “alternate end user identifier”) or will default to the call-back number if no custom value is assigned.

Endpoint IDs enable the quick and accurate retrieval of your endpoint data and ensure that calls are routed precisely to the intended individual.
