Local Calling Area means a geographical calling area, determined by the applicable ILEC, and defined by the exchange NPA NXX and LATA, in which callers can make “local calls”.

How is Bandwidth involved with local calling area?

Bandwidth supplies millions of phone numbers along with industry-leading phone number management tools. Bandwidth’s APIs allow you to be pretty scalable. If you choose to include Local Calling Area, this will expand your search and will provide you with telephone numbers that are local. Calls will be rated as local calls if they are terminated within the subscriber’s Local Calling Area and are associated with the call’s originating ANI (which must be a Bandwidth.com assigned ELS DID). All calls outside of a Subscriber’s Local Calling Area shall be rated as either intrastate, interstate or international long-distance.
