What is a Location Information Server?

Location Information Server (LIS) is an internal database that stores customers’ provisioned emergency locations and endpoint record data. When interfaced with an Automatic Location Identification (ALI) database, the Bandwidth LIS ensures that emergency services know exactly where they need to dispatch help.
