What’s a phone number?
A phone number is a string of specific numbers that a caller can dial to reach another telephone or mobile phone.
A phone number is sometimes referred to as a “DID,” which stands for Direct Inward Dialing.
How is Bandwidth involved with phone numbers?
Bandwidth supplies phone numbers (DIDs) as a part of our inbound voice services. Bandwidth has tens of millions of phone numbers. Providing DIDs is not unique, but Bandwidth’s APIs for ordering new phone numbers and porting existing phone numbers from other carriers, are industry-leading.
