Programmable voice refers to the ability to make, receive, control, and monitor calls via software, in this case, voice APIs.

How Bandwidth is involved with programmable voice

Bandwidth offers two different ways to leverage our programmable voice services. Customers can use BXML to verbally describe their call flow in an XML format. Furthermore, customers can use our REST API to expand their offering with custom call flows.
