How to get a toll-free number

To start using Toll-free SMS, you’ll follow these three steps:

Port / Provision

Bandwidth customers can provision new toll-free numbers through the Bandwidth Dashboard (App). From there you’ll simply navigate to Numbers and Buy Numbers, then select the type you’d like (in this case, Toll-free). From there it’s very easy to select and purchase numbers.

Verify

Complete verification briefs for each number and use case, then submit for verification (see below)

Send

Start sending Toll-free SMS campaigns to opted-in customers!

Verifying your Toll-free number

All toll-free numbers must go through a verification process before you can start sending SMS messages on them. Verification requires that you already have your toll-free number, and that you complete a verification brief for each number and each use case. Bandwidth’s Toll-free Verification API simplifies the process for platforms and brands.
